Children’s Ministry Pastors

Pastor Jimmy and Shannon Davis came to Butterfield and took the position of Dynamite Wednesday Night Children’s Pastors in May 2007, and in October of 2008, Pastor Jimmy and Shannon were hired on as the full-time Children's Pastors.  They are enthusiastic leaders and average between 100 to 120 children, ages 6 to 12 years of age, each Wednesday night.  Their children's ministry is designed to let kids know they can be excited to come to church and depend on Pastor Jimmy and Shannon to be there for them through any circumstance.  They work diligently to put the word of God in the children’s lives and hearts, while providing an explosive and exciting service.

Pastor Jimmy and Shannon share a strong passion for the youth.  They say, “The kids are awesome!  They are loving, caring and willing to help in any situation they can.”

Before coming to Butterfield, Pastor Jimmy and Shannon both served in leadership roles with children’s ministry at Faith Christian Center in Alma for five years.  They were the Sunday night coordinators for the first through sixth grade students.

Pastor Jimmy was raised in Mountainburg, Arkansas.  Shannon grew up in Alma, Arkansas, and they both attended Westark Community College (now UAFS) in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  They were married on November 21, 1997 and have lived in Alma, Arkansas for the past 10 years.  Jimmy and Shannon also have a duaghter named Jenesis.  The family spends most of their spare time outside riding bikes and taking road trips when the opportunity arises.

In 2007 Pastor Jimmy and Shannon started a home-based business called The Shirt Shack.  Pastor Jimmy uses his talent in drawing and working with computers to design and sell customized t-shirts.
